It's hard to believe that the winter holiday season is here and that there are only three more weeks left in the 2025 National Football League season. That's right, it's Week 16, and with each passing week some games take on more importance while others become less important or even meaningless to everyone except the mock-draft community.
Along with the ever-changing weather conditions, that makes handicapping these final few weeks incredibly difficult. Throw in the seemingly weekly array of crushing injuries to top players in the league, and it gets even more challenging.
As with all power-rating systems we try our best to tweak our numbers appropriately based on whatever data we have access to as it becomes available. Figuring out one player's meaning to a rating or point spread is an inexact science at best. For all of those reasons , similar to the beginning of the season, we like to stress that at this time of year some of the best bets are the ones we don't make.
It isn't a requirement that if there are professional football games being played money must be wagered. In fact, that type of approach is a losing mentality over the long term, and that's all we've ever been about - maximizing our odds of being profitable over over time.
Today we present our first public iteration of our Week 16 NFL Power Ratings. Below that we will add any betting edges that we have for this week's games along with any potential parlay or teaser options that meet our stringent criteria for release.
Please make sure to check back frequency as numbers and edges can change as late-week injury and weather information becomes more certain.

Thursday, December 18
Seahawks money line -120 vs. Rams (1.83)
Our numbers give Seattle. a slight edge here. An indoor team hitting the road for a bad weather game as well as the Davante Adams absence should help the Seahawks as well. Also, the Rams are the more public side, yet the line has flipped to the home team and remains steady at 1.5. This is just an edge and not one of our recommended client bets.
Saturday, December 20
Commanders +7 vs. Eagles (4.6) - LOSS
Sunday, December 21
Browns +10.5 vs. Bills (9.93)
Vikings money line -145 at Giants (1.3)
Ravens money line -180 vs. Patriots (1.83)
Buccaneers money line -155 at Panthers (1.42)
Falcons money line -150 at Cardinals (1.66)
Steelers +7.5 at Lions (5.08)
