Happy Holidays!
There was not much time to write up too many NFL fantasy or DFS details for this week, but we still wanted to provide a few things to think about and a solid list of players to consider. Last week, 80 percent of our lineups cashed, so hopefully some of you followed. If not, there's no time like the present.
Week 17 of the National Football League season hopefully has many of you competing for full-season championships. Some late injuries to key players probably have thrown some of you a few curveballs, but if you've been following our advice all year you should have the depth to pivot and still field a formidable lineup. If not, the good news about Week 17 is there usually are some lesser-known players stepping into large roles for a week or two available on the waiver wire. This year is no different on that front.
For the same reason, there are many more lower-priced value and bargain options for the Sunday DFS main slate this week, allowing us to build lineups that include some of the red-hot superstars with great matchups such as Jonathan Taylor, Saquon Barkley and Justin Jefferson.
Be careful, though, as we saw with Barkley last week once Jalen Hurts left the game with a concussion, when an NFL team has a pretty good idea what's coming - and doesn't respect the guy playing quarterback - even the best players can be shut down.
Anyway, good luck this week. Here are our Week 17 lineup thoughts.
Core Players to Consider
These players should definitely be in some lineups this week, but we would strongly consider using some combination of them in most lineups:
Bucky Irving, Justin Jefferson, Terry McLaurin, Brian Thomas, Brock Bowers
It's not a bad idea to include a few of these in each lineup and pivot off the others to a cheaper option for the same team. For example, include one or two of the WRs and Bowers in a lineup, but use Rachaad White instead of Iriving. In another scenario replace McLaurin with Olamide Zaccheus or even Jamison Crowder. Use Jordan Addison instead of Jefferson. You get the idea. We list other tight end options below, too.
